These voracious little buggers have eaten our nasturtiums at the beach hut, which is why we are on constant patrol in the yard in an attempt to protect our vegebubbles.
Ian suggests the chemical hurricane......
alternative advice would be welcome.

Import a rescue hedgehog!
Norfolk coast doesn`t appear to do hedgehogs - would a mole help?
Try spraying the plants with soapy water from a small hand sprayer. Make it soapy enough to show sud on the leaves. The bugs don't like it (or just slip off).
We`ll try that and report back; many thanks
That's why you import one - from rescue centre like St. Tiggywinkle's!
A nurtured and loved and petted rescue-hedgehog would loath our concrete yard. Of course if its hobby happened to be surfing it might be happy enough.
