Why?? I hear you cry.
Well, the camera was in the car and they caught me out big time. The first skeins , two of them , were the pinkfoots, perfect V formation and not much chat. The rest, several hundred birds, had longer necks and their V`s were more ragged, much changing of position. They were much noisier, as well, chatting away to each other.
What do geese talk about ? Is it who should take a turn at the front, or why are we going to the Broads when we could have stopped up the coast at Wells? Can`t we stop for breakfast now?
They are a wondrous sight.
