More from the cliff bottom ....

This is the the white campion which is not as common as the red one in this part of the world.
The yellow one goes by the name of the Mouse-ear Hawkweed, one of the few of these yellow types that I can identify.
I really must take my glasses with me, not just the camera.

It must be summer ......

...... even if it is still May.

The ginger cat from next door is enjoying the garden and the roses.

A calm sea is tempting the sailing boats out for a trip down the coast.

They don't get many days to enjoy a gentle sail; the North Sea is not that kind to small boats.

A modest triumph for Mundesley ...

Again we have been awarded the Blue Flag for the beach which is good news for the swimmers and surfers.

The tree lupin is flowering on the cliff in some profusion.

I have no idea why it grows on the Cromer side of the beach but not on the cliffs where I normally walk and so I made a point of going to look for them.

A bit of glamour........

.......   the Star of Bethlehem in the sunshine, not an impossible find on my walk but a beautiful sight nontheless.

The kestrel is posing in the sun, taking a rest from feeding the youngster.
And a lucky shot of some visiting terns.

A butterfly day...

.... no names no pack drill just lovely flutterbyes in the sunshine.
A hot day ahead, I was out before eight this morning and had to take my coat off.

Open Studios......

...... is with us for another year, so we are on duty for the next two weeks.
Do come and see us if you are in the area.
Meanwhile gardening can be done in the yard as everything is growing, as you can see. The potatoes are going mad since the rain and looking very healthy.

The rain has come.....

..... to wash the salt off the windows.
The north wind covered the windows with salt so we have been living in a fog  -  the downside of being this close to the sea.

A message to the good men of Donegal. I have one of your fishboxes and will be using it in an unauthorised manner. If you would like it back and happen to be passing Mundesley I would happy to return it.
