A small tortoiseshell butterfly braved the morning sun, not looking too happy. It`s one of the early butterflies to be around.I know this looks a bit odd but might it be the first leaves of a Sea Holly. The one I found last year is now under tons of sand thanks to a cliff slide. I will keep an eye on it.
The Sandwort is reclaiming the soft sand at the bottom of the cliff, so you have to look where you walk.
