You don't often find a thrush's anvil.

These are not your ordinary garden snails but the banded snails that live in the grass on the cliff. They have pretty shells and I understand surveys are done to check their numbers. The thrush did not know this so it ate them.

The Buckthorn is coming into leaf and looking rather handsome.
A Mayweed is taking over a small patch of bare cliff. There are many of these after the mud slides we had over the winter.
I shall watch with interest to see what grows on them.
