This is a sparrow hawk; all the birds who live in the trees on the bank, opposite the back door have gone into hiding.
The sparrow hawk was not easy to photo!
Yesterday this little trawler was sailing by, not a common sight but an occasional visitor.

You have kestrels AND a sparrow hawk? You lucky, lucky girls altough, I have to say, a tad greedy.
Keep them hanging around so that I may see them in June!

We will do are best; if we are even luckier we will have the Hen Harriers as well.
Oh, WOW!! Keep them all there. Dangle the odd dead mouse at them - everything responds to food offers !!!
